Hello! My name is Yuri (spelled You-Ree), I am a composer of music. This site lists my works both in music and in sound/patch design.
I have been composing music since, probably, age 5 or 6, i.e. my earliest days in school of music.
My eternal gratitude goes to my teachers who did their best to make me actually fall in love with music, even if I was a lazy kid who didn’t really love practicing.

Born in 1980 in Moscow, Russia (then – USSR).
Graduated from Skryabin’s School of Music in 1993 with piano as my speciality.
In 1998 created my first rock band called Lacklustre Mirror (1998-2011).
In 2004 joined yet another – Children of the Gun (2002-2018) as a keyboardist.
In 2008 joined ‘Fellowship’ Art Group, the free theatre troupe, as an actor/singer. In 2021 composed an entire soundtrack for Fellowship’s staging of Nick Payne’s ‘Constellations’.
In 2014 joined an underground theatre ‘Svoyo Vremya’ (the name is a wordplay that means both ‘the days of yore’ and ‘one’s own time’), as an actor, singer and co-composer.
In 2022 left Russia due to its unprovoked military invasion into Ukraine.
Currently rent an apartment with my wife in Batumi, Saqartwelo/Georgia, and regularly perform at various venues with other members of the local expat music community.
At times I thought I should abandon this, but I was never quite able to do it. Will keep going, no matter what. Even when I only had a laptop and no music instruments around me, I kept composing and recording.
With a reasonably large experience in various music roles, I’m open for collaboration as a composer for film, stage shows and videogames, as well as a session and studio keyboardist and/or singer.
